Some patients have more complex periodontal disease or have risk factors that need to be addressed before non-surgical periodontal therapy is provided which will require a case presentation appointment.
A treatment plan will be devised that’s tailored to each patient’s specific needs and is a mutually agreed plan of action. Factors that influence this treatment plan are the patient’s medical history, the amount of bone that remains around teeth or in the jaw bone, time frames for treatment and fees that will be incurred.
Some patients will need to explore all of their restorative treatment options with Dr. O’ Dea if some of their teeth will be lost due to the severity of their periodontal disease.
